Why an endocrinologist for men too?
Hormones know no gender – the regulatory circuits are the same, only the weighting differs. As a specialist with a focus on endocrinology and more than 30 years of experience, Dr Kerle clarifies hormonal disorders in men just as systematically as in women: with an in-depth conversation, a complete hormone status and a treatment plan that addresses the cause.
Typical reasons
- Erectile dysfunction – often the first sign of testosterone deficiency or of a vascular or metabolic disorder; early clarification is worthwhile
- Loss of libido and declining drive
- Exhaustion, irritability, sleep problems – "male burnout" frequently has a hormonal component
- Loss of muscle and increasing belly fat despite an unchanged lifestyle
- Hair loss – see also our page on alopecia treatment
How we proceed
We measure the complete hormone status – testosterone and its binding forms, thyroid, adrenal glands, metabolic values – at the right time of day, because testosterone fluctuates over the course of the day. Treatment depends on the cause: from nutrition, exercise and micronutrients through naturopathic support to hormonal substitution where it is medically indicated. Where there are indications of urological or cardiological causes, we work together with the relevant specialist colleagues.
Discretion
We schedule appointments so that you have time and calm. Many men come on the recommendation of their partner, who is a patient with us – and stay because they are taken seriously.
